Biography Of Salman Shah
Salman Shah was a Bangladeshi film and television actor. His born name was Shahriar Chowdhury Emon. He only acted in 27 films in his lifetime and got huge popularity around the country with such a short number of films. Salman Shah became heartthrob actor to the young generation within very short time.Salman Shah was born on 19 September 1971 in Zakiganj, Sylhet, Bangladesh to Kamaruddin Chowdhury and Nila Chowdhury. He completed primary education from Bayra Model High school, Khulna.
Then he came to Dhaka, admitted Arab Mission School at Dhanmondi and completed SSC from this school in 1987. Salman Shah completed HSC from Adamji Cantonment College and received graduation degree from Maleka Science College, Dhanmondi.
Salman Shah started his career with the first episode of the television serial Pathor Shomoy. He got breakthrough by his role in the film Keyamat Theke Keyamat (1993), directed by Sohanur Rahman Sohan. The film was a remake of an Indian film named Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, released in 1988.
He acted in a total of 27 films. His film career was associated first with actress Moushumi and then Shabnur. He acted with Moushumi in feature films Denmohor and Antore Antore. Salman Shah also acted in several TV plays including Akash Chhoya, Doyel, and Nayon.
Salman Shah got married to Samira Huq on 12 August 1992. The couple has no children and lived together until Salman’s death. A few years later death of Salman Shah, Samira married a businessman Mustak Waise and the couple settled in Thailand.
Salman Shah died 6 September 1996. He was found hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom at Iskaton, Dhaka. Police had filed a case of suicide, but the family objected to it and lodged a murder case. The people of Bangladesh were deeply shaken by Salman’s early death. He was buried beside the grave of famous saint Hazrat Shah Jalal in Sylhet.
In recent, Rabeya Sultana Ruby confesses that Salman Shah didn’t commit suicide, he was murdered. Her husband Chan Lee alias John Chan, a China national was involved with the murder. Ruby is one of the accused of the Salman Shah’s murder case. Now the case turned into a new dimension after the confession of Ruby through social media video tape, the video went to viral within a short time.
